It was on a couple of pennies, but her gift continues to give through the centuries as a model of humble and generous sharing. She was widow who didn’t give with fanfare or from surplus overflow. But she gave from her heart and God made something tiny grow into something large and beautiful (Mark 12; 41-43)
A young boy shared a little bread and a few fish and it fed thousands. God knows how to multiply! It doesn’t matter what size your gift is. You might not have much money or influence: you may not have tremendous talents or gifts: you might feel like you’re out of energy right now. But if you give out a loving heart, a humble heart, a compassionate heart, God can take something small and turn it into something great.
Dear God, thanks for taking what I bring to he table and taking something great out of it. Amen
