By becoming a Professing Member of Aldersgate church, you are publicly committing to support the ministry of Jesus Christ through our congregation. You may join our congregation by transfer of letter if you are presently a member of another Christian denomination. Since United Methodists respect what the Lord does in other denominations, this is done by taking membership vows before the congregation. With a transfer of letter from another Christian Church, profession of faith and baptism are not necessary. We would be glad to contact your previous church and have them transfer your membership to Aldersgate.
If you have never publicly professed faith in Christ and been baptized, then you would become a Professing Member of our congregation by profession of faith and baptism.
